Thank you for choosing AAA Recycling and Trash Removal. Effective January 1^st 2008 AAA will be servicing your community for Trash, Recycling, and limited Bulk items. AAA will be delivering one AAA recycling bin to your residence on or around Wednesday, December 15, 2007. All Trash must be placed at curbside in AAAs Trash Toter, or tied plastic bags, please bag all trash. If you need a replacement or repair please call our office. . All equipment provided by AAA will remain the property of AAA.

Our crews begin their route in Prince William County at 5:00 am and all other County’s at 6:00 am Monday Through Saturday. We maintain the same scheduled service days unless otherwise noted. It is difficult to duplicate pick up times due to variables and uncontrollable circumstances that we may encounter from day to day. To help ensure your pick up, please have your trash and recycling staged and ready for pick up no later than the above times or your contracted time.

AAA will collect furniture and other large, non-metal household items placed on the curb at no extra. Residents are limited to bulk items equivalent to 2 cubic yards per month. Ferrous metal/white good items, such as appliances, will be picked up with additional billing to the individual homeowner. Prior notice is requested when any large items are to be disposed, please call AAA Customer Service Center at 703-818-8222. All appliances (white goods) must be PRE-PAID and scheduled by the individual resident prior to removal. All appliances containing Freon (CFC’s) must be tagged with certification that it is FREON-FREE prior to removal. Contact your Heating and Air Conditioning dealer for CFC removal or AAA can provide this service for additional fee to you. For a large amount of items to be collect that is above the terms of the HOA contract, you can call Customer Service Center to put in a request to have a Residential Supervisor survey the material for a quote. This survey and removal of the debris will be billed to you.

Rocks, concrete, dirt, tires, soil, sod, tree stumps, paint, motor oil, construction trash/renovation debris, combustibles, toxic or hazardous wastes, or any other material excluded from the disposal site, or any applicable state or federal law, as being hazardous or toxic. As well as flammable products, dead animals, fecal matter, manure, brick, landscaping timbers, friable asbestos, lead acid/wet cell batteries, bio-hazardous material, needles, and other medical waste.

Containers or bundles weighting more than 50 pounds or longer than 4 feet in length will not be collect as household trash. Please call the Customer Service Center to put in a request to have a Residential Supervisor survey the material for a quote. This survey and removal of the debris will be billed to you. Any items that cannot be safely loaded by our crews for removal or any items that may damage the hauling equipment will not be collected. AAA’s crews cannot collect debris that is too large or too heavy to be loaded safely into our vehicles.

AAA will collect mixed paper, food/beverage glass and plastic bottles, food/beverage aluminum & tin, corrugated cardboard & fiber-board, all recyclables can be placed together. AAA provides one 15-gallon Recycling Bin, extras may be ordered upon request at no additional charge.

RECYCLING YES:

• Food & Beverage "SMALL NECKED" Glass & Plastic Bottles

• Mixed Paper: Junk Mail, Newspaper, Magazines Cereal Boxes, Flattened Cardboard less than 3ftx3ft
• Remove caps and lids and rinse out residue and place in recycling container, place at curbside by 5:00am

RECYCLING NO:

• Glass recyclables not acceptable are windows, drinking glasses, cups, plates, cookware, mirror, light bulbs, broken glass.
• Metal recyclables not acceptable are pots, pans, foil, pie tins, scrap metal.
• Plastic recyclables not acceptable "WIDE NECKED" tubs: yogurt, dairy containers, Styrofoam containers
• Not Acceptable is any recyclable that is contaminated with food, like Pizza boxes, Plastic or Aluminum "carry out" food tray

Yard Waste is considered a by-product of regular yard maintenance and not the debris as a result of landscaping renovation. During yard waste season, SINGLE FAMILY HOMES will have a weekly scheduled pick up day and TOWN HOMES are on a "On Call" basis and will need to call Customer Service Center at 703-818-8222 to schedule the removal of the yard waste. Recycling of yard debris is mandatory in all counties except Prince William County from March 1 through December 31. January and February, please place yard debris out with your household trash. Composting, chipping, and mulching are great ways to recycle your yard waste.

All yard debris to be collected must be prepared accordingly and placed at the curb for collection:

• Brush and limbs must be cut into 4-foot lengths and bundled (arm-full size) with rope or twine and should not exceed 50 pounds.
• Grass clippings, leaves, and twig can be placed in a container you provide, paper bags, or clear plastic bags. Yard waste placed in dark bags will not be collected.
• Tree stumps and tree limbs that are larger the 6 inches in diameter and 4 feet in length will not be collected.
• All unbundled brush will be considered a special pick up. Please call Customer Service Center to put in a request to have a Residential Supervisor survey the material for a quote. This survey and removal of the debris will be billed to you.

AAA will provide removal of trash and recyclables on all holidays that fall on a regularly scheduled pickup day, with the exception of THANKSGIVING DAY, CHRISTMAS DAY and NEW YEAR’S DAY or when the disposal facilities close. When a designated pickup day falls on one of these holidays, uncollected trash or recyclables will be removed on the next regularly scheduled pickup day for that debris. Christmas trees will be collected the first two weeks of January. Trees must be placed at the curb prior to 6 a.m. All tinsel and ornaments must be removed from the tree. Please do not place in bags.
